Pike Street 20-Ounce Stemless Red Wine Glasses, Set of 6
Product Description Whether you're a serious connoisseur or just an oenophile bon vivant, you'll appreciate both the quaffing enjoyment and affordability of this set of six stemless Pike Street red wine glasses. The tumblers are a great choice for casual entertaining and everyday use. These glasses are designed to enhance the aromas and flavors of a variety of red wines--from Merlot to Shiraz to Pinot. The only difference between these tumblers and a standard wine glass is they're missing the stem, making them slightly less delicate to handle, more modern in appearance, and easier to fit in smaller cabinets, mini bars, picnic baskets, and the dishwasher. Made from non-lead crystal in Romania, they have a clear finish, hold 20 ounces of wine, and measure 4 inches wide and 4-1/2 inches tall. They're also completely dishwasher safe. Product Description Drinking wine from a tumbler has long been the standard for a casual evening out in Europe. Using a tumbler is easy and convenient due to it's size and ability to fit in the dishwasher. Drinking wine from a stem in Europe is typically reserved for special occasions and white-linen restaurants. This Pike Street stemless line pairs the convenience of drinking from a tumbler with the benefits of a wine glass. You are still able to swirl the wine to release and enjoy the bouquet as well as control the flow of wine onto the palette while the glass fits easily into the dishwasher. Lightweight yet durable, the stemless glass feels nice in the hand. Reader Reviews When I began looking for wine glasses I took notice of the stemless variety and was intrigued so I ordered these. These glasses are great! No stems, less fragile, less likely to tip or get knocked over. Easier to clean than the stemmed breed. They got tested at a party with a lot of activity where normally 2 to 3 glasses get broken every year... none broken and people liked them. Trust me here, these are worth it. I do plan to buy more as my stemmed ones break (and we all know they will). All in all... great value, great glass. Worth the money. Comment | Permalink | (Report this)
